From Kindergarten to Grade 6, all students attend Elementary Classroom Music, where they learn fundamental music concepts and apply this knowledge in many activities - listening, performing and creating.

Students in grades K - 6 receive one hour of instruction per week. K-3 is presented in two half hour blocks, while 4-6 has a one hour block once per week.

Classroom Music teaches:

• appreciation of music of varying styles and cultures
• singing a variety of folk and composed songs
• playing instruments
• dance and movement
• music reading skills
• music terminology and concepts

And most importantly supports what is already taking place in the classroom.
