Saxon math requires nightly homework Monday through Thursday.  This provides the students with an opportunity to practice new skills and review concepts and skills for better retention.

First Grade students are required to read 20 minutes four nights a week because  practice is vital for the success of beginning readers.

Attendance

Students coming into the classroom at the first bell are settled, seated, and ready to learn when the tardy bell sounds. Later arriving students often miss skill lessons and distract others.
